Dissolution Profile Calculator

Calculate a multi-point dissolution profile, corrected for the drug removed with every sample you withdraw.

  • Volume correction
  • Replaced or not replaced
  • Profile chart
  • No sign-up
How to use

Four steps, or fewer

  1. Enter the standard preparation and its responses.
  2. Enter the medium volume, the volume withdrawn at each pull and whether it is replaced.
  3. Paste the time points with their responses. The chart shows the corrected and uncorrected profile.

Theory & criteria

Why volume correction matters

Every sample you withdraw removes dissolved drug from the vessel. Without correction, later time points are underestimated, typically by 1–2% over a six-point profile.

Cᵢ = (Aᵢ / Ā_std) × C_std × DF
Medium replaced: amountᵢ = Cᵢ × V + v × Σ C_j (j < i)
Not replaced: amountᵢ = Cᵢ × (V − (i − 1) × v) + v × Σ C_j (j < i)
% dissolvedᵢ = amountᵢ / label claim × 100

Use the corrected profile for comparisons with the f2 Similarity calculator.
